Australian Cancer Survivor Receives 3D-Printed Jaw in Rare Surgery - Video

3dprinting Oct 03, 2019

One of the many reasons I started exploring 3D printing many years ago, is that I thought that eventually we would get to the point where someone could print replacement bone fragments and eventually I would be able to get back the portion of my skull that was taken due to my cancer.

The doctors at the time [2006] said I would never get a palette replacement which would then replace my upper left teeth.  After all this time, I think it is becoming more and more of a reality.  I love living in the future.

Time to schedule a flight to Australia, eh?
